Regular image campaigns
So using the Banner media function described above we upload a banner into the system. Lets say it’s AdMentors top banner:

We can now just click on the Create campaign button to get to the New campaign dialog – and it will create a campaign around that banner:

IMPORTANT: As for the “Valid info” goes. The banner will be deactivated as soon as ONE of the different criteria is being fulfilled. If you enter 50000 impressions, 100 clicks – the campaign will run until either of them is true. This also, more importantly, goes for date. If campaign date end happen before the 50000 impressions are delivered it will be deactivated. So, when selling number of clicks or impressions, set the date FAR in the future.
Now looking at the media data:

Next is targetting:

As you can see we have now specified the top banner ad position and (only) webmasters zone.
IMPORTANT 2: Remember to enter a weight. 0 means the banner is deactivated. Weight is a number and all that matters is that it’s relative to other banners weight.
Lets say you have three banners belong to the same zone and adposition:
- Banner A: weight 12
- Banner B: weight 6
- Banner C: weight 3
This will mean that in the certain adpostion and zone out of 1000 impressions banner A will be shown roughly 571 times ( calculated as 12 / ( 12+6+3 ) * 1000). Banner B will be shown 286 times (6/(12+6+3)*1000) Banner C will be shown 143 times (3/(12+6+3)*1000) So this also means that weight 120, 60, 30 gives the same result. Weighting is a mean for you to have some banners displayed more than others, they might have paid more, or whatever reason you might have. All things concerning banners can be changed by the administrator even after the campaign has started so it’s always possible for you to adjust the parameters.
